Massimo Borelli was born in Trieste on April 26th, 1965. He graduated in mathematical physics at University of Trieste and he currently teaches math at the S. de Sandrinelli High School of Trieste.

Moreover, since 1999, he had lectured Biostatistics, Social Statistics, Economical Statistics, Bioinformatics and Basic Computer Science within several undergraduate courses at the University of Trieste. Besides researching with PsiQu group, he is currently involved in the research team in Soft Computing Theory at the Computer Science Department of the University of Trieste and since 2007 he is visiting professor at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, researching at Institut Universitari Parc Taulí. Lastly, since 2008, he is Ph.D. student in the B.R.A.I.N. Neuroscience and Cognitive Science Programme.
